Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport goods.
- Ensure accurate inventory counts and proper labeling of stock in the warehouse management system.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all OSHA safety regulations and company standards.
- Inspect equipment regularly to identify any mechanical issues and report maintenance needs immediately.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of orders and shipments.
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for picking, packing, and shipping.
- Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Forklift Operator License (OSHA 10/30 preferred) and be able to pass a forklift proficiency test.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and hazard identification.
- Ability to read and comprehend shipping labels, invoices, and work orders accurately.
- Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with warehouse software or handheld scanners.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physically fit and capable of performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
