Your Role
As a Forklift Operator at Apex Logistics, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations, ensuring that goods are moved, stored, and shipped accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and powered industrial trucks (PIT) to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse facility.
- Verify inventory against shipping manifests and ensure accurate stock placement in designated storage areas.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Perform routine safety inspections and maintenance checks on forklift equipment before and after shifts.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely fulfillment of orders and efficient workflow.
- Assist in cycle counting and inventory control activities as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating a forklift is preferred; certification is required.
- Must possess a valid Forklift Operator Certification or ability to obtain one quickly.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and warehouse procedures.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and paperwork.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
