Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move materials within warehouse and loading dock areas
- Verify inventory counts and maintain accurate documentation in WMS systems
- Inspect equipment daily and report maintenance needs to prevent operational delays
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and company material handling procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize warehouse workflow efficiency
- Prepare shipments for transport using proper palletizing and wrapping techniques
- Assist in monthly cycle counts and inventory reconciliation processes
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA forklift certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Minimum 1 year experience operating industrial forklifts in warehouse settings
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and stand for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety standards
- Basic computer literacy for inventory management systems
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings and weekends as needed
