Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, load, and unload palletized materials in warehouse environment
- Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks to ensure OSHA compliance
- Manage inventory counts and document material movements using warehouse management systems
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow all safety protocols including PPE requirements
- Collaborate with receiving/shipping teams to optimize workflow efficiency
- Assist in training new operators on equipment operation and safety procedures
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for warehouse operations
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA forklift certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Minimum 1 year of sit-down forklift operation experience in warehouse setting
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety standards
- Basic computer literacy for inventory management system operation
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
