Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure proper working order and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Accurately check inventory and document stock movement using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely order fulfillment and shipping processes.
- Secure cargo properly using straps, chains, and coverings to prevent damage during transit.
- Assist with general warehouse duties including picking, packing, and shipping orders.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software is a plus.
