Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials efficiently and safely
- Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation of all warehouse activities
- Inspect and perform basic maintenance on equipment to ensure operational readiness
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations at all times
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse workflows and productivity
- Manage and organize storage areas for optimal space utilization
- Assist in training new hires on equipment operation and safety procedures
- Complete shift reports and communicate any operational issues to supervisors
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Basic math skills for inventory management and documentation
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance record
- Ability to work flexible hours including overtime and weekends as needed
