Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal cold storage temperatures (-10°F to 40°F) for perishable goods
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load/unload refrigerated trucks efficiently
- Inspect products for quality compliance and report irregularities immediately
- Adhere to strict HACCP and OSHA safety protocols in all operations
- Manage inventory using digital tracking systems to ensure accuracy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet daily shipping/receiving targets
- Maintain sanitized equipment and storage areas per FDA standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months cold storage or warehouse experience preferred
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to pass company training)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in sub-zero environments
- Basic computer literacy for inventory management systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety
- Flexible availability including weekends/holidays during peak seasons
