Job Description
We are building the operating system for the year 2026. Nexus Horizon Systems is seeking a visionary Future-Ready AI Architect to lead the design and deployment of autonomous agent ecosystems. As we move beyond simple LLM wrappers, we are constructing next-generation infrastructure that leverages Agentic workflows, Edge AI, and quantum-ready algorithms.
In this role, you will architect the core systems that enable AI agents to autonomously reason, plan, and execute complex tasks in real-time. You will bridge the gap between theoretical AI research and production-grade software engineering.
Why Join Us?
- Work on the cutting edge of Agentic AI and autonomous systems.
- Competitive compensation and equity package.
- Flexible hybrid work environment in the heart of San Francisco.
- Access to state-of-the-art compute resources and proprietary datasets.
Responsibilities
- Architect Autonomous Workflows: Design and implement scalable orchestration layers for multi-agent systems that can handle complex, long-horizon tasks without human intervention.
- Optimize Inference Pipelines: Build high-performance inference engines using Rust and WebAssembly to minimize latency for edge deployment.
- Integrate Multimodal Data: Create seamless interfaces that allow AI agents to process and generate text, vision, and audio data simultaneously.
- Develop Safety Mechanisms: Implement guardrails and reinforcement learning strategies to ensure agent behavior remains aligned and safe.
- Prototype Quantum-Ready Algorithms: Research and prototype algorithms that will function effectively on post-silicon hardware architectures.
- Collaborate with Research: Partner with our R&D team to translate academic breakthroughs into deployable software components.
Qualifications
- Education: M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years specifically in AI/ML systems architecture.
- Programming: Deep expertise in Python, Rust, or C++. Experience with WebGL or WebGPU is a significant plus.
- AI Knowledge: Strong understanding of LLM architectures, Prompt Engineering, Vector Databases, and Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF).
- System Design: Proven track record of designing high-availability, distributed systems.
- Communication: Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
