Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology innovation strategy aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in quantum computing, AI governance, and climate-tech solutions
- Identify emerging technologies with disruptive potential through market analysis and academic partnerships
- Present strategic roadmaps to executive stakeholders and secure budget approvals for pilot programs
- Mentor a team of 5+ technical specialists while fostering an innovation-first culture
- Collaborate with venture capital partners to scout and integrate startup innovations
- Monitor global tech policy developments and adapt strategy to regulatory landscapes
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in emerging tech specialization
- Proven track record leading successful R&D initiatives from concept to commercialization
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum computing, AI ethics, or sustainable tech
- Executive-level presentation skills with ability to articulate complex technical concepts
- Certification in Technology Strategy or Innovation Management (e.g., CSTM, CIPD)
- Published research in peer-reviewed tech journals or industry white papers
- Experience securing $1M+ budgets for experimental technology projects
