Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum, biotech, AI, space tech) and assess market viability for 2026-2030
- Develop strategic frameworks for technology adoption, including risk mitigation and ethical impact analysis
- Facilitate cross-industry partnerships with academia, government, and private sector disruptors
- Present technology roadmaps to C-suite executives and board members with data-driven insights
- Manage a $5M innovation portfolio, allocating resources to high-potential R&D initiatives
- Lead scenario planning workshops to prepare for technological disruptions and paradigm shifts
- Author thought leadership publications on the future of technology and its societal implications
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning, innovation management, or futures research
- Proven track record of launching or scaling disruptive technologies in enterprise environments
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI, etc.)
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Futures Studies, or related field
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., from World Future Society) or equivalent experience
- Experience with scenario modeling tools and foresight methodologies (e.g., Delphi, horizon scanning)
- Portfolio demonstrating technology strategy deliverables published in peer-reviewed journals or industry forums
