Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year roadmaps for emerging technologies including quantum AI and biometric interfaces
- Lead cross-functional sprints to prototype and validate futuristic solutions
- Analyze global tech trends and competitive landscapes to identify strategic inflection points
- Secure partnerships with research institutions (MIT, Stanford, ETH Zurich)
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board members
- Manage $5M annual R&D budget for experimental projects
- Mentor junior strategists in futures thinking methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Strategic Innovation
- 8+ years in tech strategy, R&D, or emerging tech roles
- Proven track record launching products with 3+ years market lead time
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AR/VR, synthetic biology)
- Strong network with academic and industry innovators
- Advanced certification in Futures Studies or Technology Foresight
- Exceptional storytelling and executive communication skills
- Portfolio of published research or patents
