Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the 2026 technology innovation roadmap across AI, quantum computing, and biotech sectors
- Lead high-stakes R&D initiatives with $5M+ annual budgets and cross-functional teams of 15+ specialists
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies with 5-10 year market disruption potential
- Develop strategic partnerships with academic institutions and Fortune 500 innovation labs
- Present technology forecasts and recommendations to the board of directors and investors
- Mentor a team of futurists and technology scouts while fostering a culture of calculated risk-taking
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in emerging tech (AI/ML, quantum, or biotech)
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products with $50M+ market impact
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to model complex technological adoption curves
- Deep network within Silicon Valley's venture capital and academic research communities
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- Experience leading global teams across 3+ time zones
