- Collaborate with policy advisors to shape ethical frameworks for emerging technologies
- Present strategic visions to C-suite executives and external stakeholders including Fortune 500 partners
- Mentor a team of 12 futurists and engineers through agile development cycles
- Conduct quarterly horizon scanning reports identifying disruptive technologies within 3-5 year adoption windows
- Drive partnerships with academic institutions (Stanford, Caltech) and national laboratories
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or Engineering with focus on quantum/molecular computing OR equivalent industry breakthrough (e.g., published in Nature/Science)
- 10+ years in technology strategy with demonstrable impact on product roadmaps worth $100M+
- Expertise in quantum algorithms, neuromorphic computing, or carbon-negative AI systems
- Proven track record securing federal/state innovation grants (SBIR, DARPA)
- Deep understanding of technological singularity implications and risk mitigation frameworks
- Fluency in futures methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning) and forecasting tools
