Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive technology roadmaps targeting 2026+ market opportunities and disruptive innovations
- Analyze emerging tech trends (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.) and assess strategic implications for our business
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to prototype and validate futuristic concepts through agile methodologies
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders with clear ROI projections and risk assessments
- Build and maintain partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and industry think tanks
- Monitor global tech policy and ethical frameworks to ensure responsible innovation practices
- Mentor R&D teams in future-focused technologies and design thinking principles
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning, product development, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record in anticipating and capitalizing on emerging tech trends
- Expertise in at least two future-tech domains: AI/ML, quantum computing, advanced robotics, or synthetic biology
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts into business strategy
- Experience with scenario planning and futures forecasting methodologies
