Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with market disruption forecasts
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype next-gen solutions (AR/VR, quantum applications, biotech interfaces)
- Analyze emerging tech patents, academic research, and geopolitical shifts to identify competitive advantages
- Present strategic briefings to investors and board members on technology ROI scenarios
- Manage a $15M annual R&D budget with quarterly pivot assessments based on tech evolution metrics
- Mentor junior strategists in future-proofing methodologies and ethical tech frameworks
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with proven 2026+ tech deployment experience
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies (PhD preferred)
- Expertise in at least two emerging domains: quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, or synthetic biology
- Portfolio showcasing technology forecasting models with 85%+ accuracy
- Proficiency in scenario planning tools (e.g., Gartner Hype Cycle, Deloitte Tech Trends)
- Published thought leadership in IEEE or Harvard Business Review on tech evolution
