Responsibilities
- Lead strategic technology forecasting for 2026+ market trends and disruptive innovations
- Develop and implement R&D roadmaps aligning with long-term business objectives
- Partner with VPs of Engineering and Product to integrate emerging technologies into core offerings
- Build and manage relationships with academic institutions, startups, and industry consortia
- Present technology strategy insights to executive stakeholders and investors
- Drive innovation culture through hackathons, patents, and cross-functional workshops
- Analyze competitive landscapes and identify first-mover opportunities in emerging tech sectors
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or innovation management
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies (AI, quantum, biotech)
- Deep understanding of global tech trends and regulatory landscapes post-2025
- Executive-level communication with ability to articulate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Experience building tech ecosystems with academia and venture capital partners
- Certification in technology foresight or innovation management (e.g., CFTE, Foresight Pro)
- Prior experience scaling tech teams in high-growth environments
