Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year strategic technology roadmaps aligning with post-2025 market projections
- Lead research initiatives in quantum computing, neural interfaces, and decentralized AI systems
- Develop ethical frameworks for emerging technologies including AGI and synthetic biology
- Partner with product teams to prototype commercial applications of breakthrough research
- Present findings to C-suite executives and venture capital partners
- Mentor junior researchers and cultivate innovation culture within the organization
- Secure patents for proprietary technologies with $5M+ commercialization potential
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Physics, or Bioengineering with 10+ years experience
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on emerging technologies
- Proven track record leading $10M+ R&D projects with measurable ROI
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, neuromorphic computing, or CRISPR-AI integration
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming languages
- Experience securing federal innovation grants (DARPA, NSF)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ commercialized breakthrough technologies
