In this pivotal position, you'll collaborate with C-suite executives, R&D teams, and global partners to identify paradigm-shifting technologies, assess market readiness, and develop implementation blueprints for quantum computing, AI ethics, and sustainable tech ecosystems. You'll be the compass guiding our organization through the technological frontier of 2026 and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Architect 2026 technology roadmap by analyzing emerging trends in quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, and climate tech
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and validate next-gen solutions in our Austin Innovation Lab
- Develop patent strategies and IP frameworks for breakthrough technologies
- Present strategic briefings to investors and board members on market disruption opportunities
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and government agencies for technology adoption
- Monitor geopolitical and regulatory shifts affecting future technology deployment
- Mentor junior strategists in futures thinking methodology and technology forecasting
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Strategy, Computer Science, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in technology strategy consulting or corporate R&D leadership
- Proven track record in developing 5-year+ technology roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum computing, AI ethics, or climate tech
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry white papers
- Experience securing $5M+ in R&D funding for experimental technologies
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., WFS, APF) or Technology Foresight methodology
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
