Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Analyze emerging technologies (quantum, AI, Web3) for commercial viability and integration opportunities
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align engineering, product, and executive teams on future tech priorities
- Conduct competitive landscape analysis and identify disruptive threats/opportunities
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board of directors
- Manage innovation portfolio with $15M+ annual R&D budget
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership within Fortune 500 or high-growth startups
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, biotech, etc.)
- Proven track record of launching future-focused initiatives with measurable ROI
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong data modeling and scenario planning capabilities
- Experience presenting to executive audiences and investors
- Certification in technology foresight or strategic planning preferred
