Responsibilities
- Analyze global tech trends to develop 5-year innovation roadmaps for quantum/AI/biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional workshops to prototype 2026-ready solutions with engineering teams
- Author forward-looking white papers on societal impact of emerging technologies
- Partner with VCs and startups to scout disruptive technologies for acquisition
- Represent Horizon Labs at global futurism conferences (WFSF, Singularity Summit)
- Mentor R&D teams on speculative design methodologies and ethical frameworks
Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Published author on tech disruption or futures forecasting
- Proficiency in trend analysis tools (Gartner, Forrester, custom AI models)
- Experience with speculative design and scenario planning methodologies
- Deep knowledge of quantum computing, synthetic biology, and AGI trajectories
- Exceptional storytelling skills for communicating complex futures
