Responsibilities
- Analyze horizon-scanning data from AI, biotech, and climate science to forecast 2026+ market disruptions
- Develop strategic roadmaps for exponential technology adoption across Fortune 500 partners
- Lead scenario-planning workshops for C-suite executives on future-proofing business models
- Curate and prioritize emerging innovations in our Austin Innovation Accelerator
- Author white papers on ethical AI governance and human-machine symbiosis
- Represent Nexus Horizon at global futurist conferences and tech policy forums
- Mentor cross-functional teams in futures-thinking methodologies
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Portfolio demonstrating trend analysis for 2020-2025 predictions
- Expertise in exponential technologies (quantum, AGI, synthetic biology)
- Certification in Futures Methodology (e.g., CFS, APF) preferred
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed futurist journals
- Experience with scenario planning tools (e.g., STEEP, Delphi methods)
- Strong network with global futurist communities (WFS, APF)
