Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis across AI, biotech, climate tech, and quantum computing to identify 2026+ opportunities
- Develop strategic foresight frameworks and innovation roadmaps aligned with long-term business objectives
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to translate foresight into actionable R&D priorities
- Author thought leadership reports and scenario-planning models for executive decision-making
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, academics, and industry disruptors
- Champion experimental projects with 5-10 year horizons, securing executive buy-in and resources
- Integrate sustainability and ethical foresight into all innovation initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging technology leadership
- Proven track record of translating future trends into successful commercial initiatives
- Expertise in systems thinking, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies and their societal implications
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex futures to diverse audiences
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, Business Strategy, or related field
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work or implemented innovation frameworks
- Certification in foresight methodologies (e.g., CFCS, Foresight Practitioner) preferred
