Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify disruptive technologies, market shifts, and societal trends impacting 2026+ business landscapes
- Develop and maintain strategic foresight frameworks including scenario planning, trend impact matrices, and innovation roadmaps
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate future-forward insights into product development and corporate strategy
- Deliver executive-level presentations translating complex foresight analyses into actionable business recommendations
- Lead workshops and innovation sprints to cultivate organizational foresight capabilities
- Monitor and analyze emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) for strategic implementation opportunities
- Author thought leadership publications and white papers positioning Horizon Dynamics as a future-focused industry authority
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or technology trend analysis
- Proven expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend impact methodologies
- Deep understanding of emerging technologies and their socioeconomic implications
- Exceptional data synthesis and storytelling abilities with executive presentation experience
- Proficiency in foresight tools (e.g., Delphi method, cross-impact matrices, STEEP analysis)
- Strong network within futurist communities and innovation think tanks
- Portfolio demonstrating successful strategic foresight implementations
