Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology vision, aligning with corporate objectives and market trends
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and validating emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, neuro interfaces)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive innovations and competitive threats
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders with data-backed scenarios
- Establish innovation governance frameworks for ethical technology deployment
- Manage $5M+ R&D budget for experimental technology initiatives
- Publish thought leadership on future tech impacts across industry forums
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of scaling emerging technologies from concept to commercialization
- Expertise in at least three of these domains: AI/ML, blockchain, biotech, quantum computing, or sustainable tech
- Advanced degree in Technology, Business, or Futures Studies (PhD preferred)
- Exceptional scenario planning and risk mitigation capabilities
- Experience advising Fortune 500 companies on digital transformation
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., WFS, APF) or equivalent
- Portfolio demonstrating published futurist frameworks or technology roadmaps
