Responsibilities
- Operate pallet jacks and forklifts to efficiently move refrigerated goods within -10°F to 40°F zones
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperature/humidity levels using digital control systems
- Execute precise inventory management protocols including cycle counts and FIFO rotation
- Adhere to HACCP standards and OSHA safety protocols for cold environments
- Perform preventative maintenance on refrigeration units and material handling equipment
- Coordinate cross-functional teams for seamless loading/unloading of temperature-sensitive shipments
- Document inventory movements and quality control metrics using WMS software
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years cold storage or refrigerated warehouse experience
- OSHA 10-hour certification and HACCP training preferred
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Proficient in inventory management systems (SAP, Oracle WMS)
- Strong attention to detail and compliance with food safety standards
- Physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs regularly and stand/walk for 8+ hours
