Responsibilities
- Maintain precise temperature monitoring and documentation of refrigerated storage facilities (-10°F to 40°F)
- Operate electric pallet jacks, forklifts, and temperature-controlled conveyance systems safely
- Execute FIFO inventory rotation and cycle counting in multi-zone cold storage environments
- Adhere to HACCP, OSHA, and GMP protocols for food safety and workplace compliance
- Perform preventative maintenance on refrigeration units and reporting equipment malfunctions
- Coordinate with warehouse team for efficient loading/unloading of refrigerated trailers
- Maintain accurate electronic inventory records using WMS systems
- Participate in quarterly safety drills and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years cold storage or temperature-controlled warehouse experience
- Valid OSHA 10-hour General Industry certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain company-sponsored certification)
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods (4-6 hour shifts)
- Basic proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., Oracle WMS, Manhattan Active)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy for inventory control
- Physical stamina to lift 50+ pounds regularly and stand for 8+ hours
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
