Responsibilities
- Handle, sort, and inventory frozen/refrigerated products (-10°F to 40°F environments)
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and temperature-controlled warehouse equipment
- Monitor and maintain cold chain compliance documentation (HACCP, FDA)
- Coordinate cross-functional teams for efficient dock-to-storage workflows
- Conduct daily safety inspections of refrigeration units and loading zones
- Utilize WMS systems for real-time inventory tracking and order fulfillment
- Train new personnel on cold safety protocols and equipment operation
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year cold storage or refrigerated warehouse experience
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to pass company training)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly in sub-zero conditions
- Basic knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety standards
- Experience with warehouse management systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP)
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred
- Strong attention to detail in extreme environmental conditions
