Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal temperature and humidity levels in refrigerated warehouses (-10°F to 40°F zones)
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and refrigeration systems with precision
- Inspect and document inventory using WMS technology in cold environments
- Ensure strict compliance with FDA and USDA food safety protocols
- Coordinate loading/unloading of temperature-sensitive shipments
- Perform routine sanitation and equipment maintenance checks
- Train new hires on cold safety procedures and warehouse operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in cold storage or refrigerated warehouse operations
- Valid OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Forklift certification (or ability to pass certification test)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in sub-zero temperatures
- Basic knowledge of HACCP principles and food handling standards
- Strong attention to detail and inventory management skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
