Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery to move materials.
- Load and Unload Cargo: Accurately load and unload trucks, railcars, and containers, verifying shipment contents against packing slips.
- Inventory Management: Assist in cycle counts, inventory audits, and stock organization to ensure accuracy and reduce shrinkage.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies. Conduct pre-shift inspections of equipment and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper labeling of pallets and aisles.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid and current forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a high-volume warehouse environment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for long periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and safety protocols.
- Documentation: Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and weigh tags.
