Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Assist in inventory counts, stock organization, and maintaining accurate storage records.
- Safety Compliance: Conduct daily pre-shift equipment inspections and strictly adhere to all OSHA safety protocols.
- Shipping & Receiving: Prepare pallets for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation according to company standards.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to optimize workflow and resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Equipment Maintenance: Report any mechanical issues with forklifts or warehouse equipment immediately to the maintenance team.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid forklift operator certification (CPCS or equivalent) prior to start date.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Physical Demands: Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and navigate warehouse aisles.
- Background Check: Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and paperwork.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including overtime during peak seasons.
