Responsibilities
- Operate Heavy Machinery: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and stack inventory with precision, ensuring proper placement to maximize warehouse space.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to maintain a secure workplace for all employees.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting cycle counts, and performing stock checks.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and supervisors to meet daily production targets and shipping deadlines.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Background Check: Must be willing to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license is required for some routes.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime.
