Position Overview
As a Forklift Operator, you'll be crucial to our warehouse operations, ensuring efficient movement of materials while maintaining strict safety standards. This is a temporary position with potential for long-term placement.
Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Safely load/unload trucks and move materials to designated storage areas
- Inspect equipment daily and report maintenance needs
- Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and company procedures
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow efficiency
- Assist with warehouse cleaning and organization tasks
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Minimum 1 year of recent forklift operation experience
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Basic math skills for inventory tasks
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
