Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery to move, locate, and stack merchandise.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free workplace.
- Inventory Management: Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment while verifying inventory counts against digital records.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in proper working condition.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep storage areas clean, organized, and accessible to optimize workflow efficiency.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and warehouse staff to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (Class A, B, or C).
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy regarding inventory counts and safety procedures.
- Computer Skills: Basic proficiency with handheld scanners or warehouse management software (WMS) is a plus.
- Availability: Reliable attendance and the ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime if needed.
