Responsibilities
- Perform accurate cycle counts and periodic physical inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, documenting discrepancies immediately.
- Maintain and update digital inventory records using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and spreadsheets.
- Label, sort, and organize stock in designated storage areas to optimize warehouse space.
- Assist in the packing and shipping process, ensuring all packages are correctly labeled and prepared for transit.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate with team leads regarding stock shortages or overages.
- Keep the inventory workspace clean, safe, and organized in compliance with safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in supply chain or related field is a plus.
- Experience: Prior experience in inventory management, warehousing, or logistics is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential) and experience with inventory software or WMS.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot errors and maintain high levels of accuracy in data entry.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Forklift Certification: Certification is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
