Responsibilities
- Receiving and Verification: Inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies and verify quantities against packing slips or purchase orders.
- Inventory Management: Perform regular cycle counts and assist in annual physical inventory audits to ensure data accuracy.
- Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date digital and physical records of all stock movements, transfers, and adjustments.
- Stock Organization: Organize warehouse shelves and storage areas to ensure easy access and efficient picking processes.
- Reporting: Identify and report potential inventory shortages, damages, or system errors to the Warehouse Supervisor immediately.
- Equipment Handling: Safely operate barcode scanners, handheld computers, and basic warehouse equipment.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; some college or vocational training in logistics is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, or logistics is highly preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) and familiarity with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Fishbowl) is a major plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
