Responsibilities
- Stock Management: Receive, inspect, and stock incoming merchandise to ensure accurate inventory counts and proper placement within the warehouse.
- Inventory Audits: Perform regular cycle counts and year-end inventories, reconciling physical stock with digital records to identify discrepancies.
- Data Entry: Maintain up-to-date and accurate inventory databases using warehouse management systems (WMS) and spreadsheets.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze inventory reports to assist management in making procurement and sales decisions.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain inventory tracking equipment, including scanners and labels, ensuring they are in working order.
- Order Fulfillment: Assist in picking and packing orders, ensuring accuracy and timely dispatch to customers.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in inventory management, warehousing, or logistics (1-2 years preferred).
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain or Business is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and experience with inventory software or WMS.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and maintain high levels of accuracy in data entry and counting.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and navigate a busy warehouse environment safely.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
