Job Description
Join Project 2026, a forward-thinking think-tank and tech accelerator based in San Francisco. We are pioneering the next generation of computational intelligence, bridging the gap between classical machine learning and future quantum computing paradigms. As we scale our operations into 2026 and beyond, we are seeking a visionary Lead Quantum AI Architect to design the core infrastructure that will power our global solutions.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for architecting scalable quantum-classical hybrid systems, optimizing algorithms for emerging hardware, and leading a team of elite engineers. If you are passionate about defining the future of technology and thrive in a high-impact, fast-paced environment, we invite you to shape the future with us.
Responsibilities
- Design and architect complex quantum-classical hybrid systems tailored for enterprise-level AI applications.
- Lead the research and implementation of quantum algorithms and optimization techniques to solve real-world problems.
- Mentor a high-performing team of software engineers and data scientists, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate abstract scientific concepts into robust, scalable software products.
- Stay at the forefront of quantum hardware advancements (NISQ devices, error correction) and integrate them into our software stack.
- Drive technical roadmaps, establish best practices, and ensure code quality across the organization.
Qualifications
- PhD or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field with a focus on Quantum Computing or Artificial Intelligence.
- 7+ years of experience in software architecture, with at least 3 years specifically in quantum computing or AI/ML.
- Deep expertise in Python, C++, and Rust, with hands-on experience using quantum SDKs such as Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane.
- Strong background in classical machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling.
- Proven track record of leading technical teams and managing large-scale projects from conception to deployment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas to diverse audiences.
