Responsibilities
- Architectural Leadership: Design and implement the core quantum software architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and compatibility with existing classical systems.
- Algorithm Development: Develop novel quantum algorithms to solve complex optimization problems, focusing on speed and error reduction.
- Team Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and inspire a cross-functional team of quantum physicists, software engineers, and data scientists.
- Roadmap Strategy: Define the technical roadmap for the 2026 Horizon Initiative, aligning engineering capabilities with business objectives.
- Collaboration: Partner with hardware engineers to optimize software-hardware interfaces and drive performance benchmarks.
- Research: Stay at the forefront of quantum computing advancements and evaluate emerging technologies for integration.
Qualifications
- Education: Masterβs or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field with a focus on Quantum Computing.
- Experience: 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead architect role.
- Technical Skills: Deep expertise in quantum computing frameworks such as Qiskit, Cirq, or PyQuil.
- Programming: Proficiency in Python, C++, and Rust, with a strong understanding of parallel processing.
- Systems Thinking: Demonstrated ability to design complex distributed systems that integrate quantum and classical computing paradigms.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
