Responsibilities
- Safely load/unload shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
- Scan and track inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) with 99.5% accuracy
- Operate automated conveyor systems and sorting machinery to optimize workflow
- Inspect incoming/outgoing materials for damage and maintain quality control logs
- Maintain organized storage areas following FIFO (First-In-First-Out) protocols
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and participate in monthly safety drills
- Collaborate with supervisors to optimize storage layouts and reduce handling time
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; warehouse certification preferred
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 1 year experience in warehouse/material handling environments
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and stand/walk for 8+ hours
- Basic proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Strong attention to detail with zero-tolerance for inventory discrepancies
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
