Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other transport vehicles
- Move materials to and from storage areas, production areas, or loading docks
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Inspect and maintain handling equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Keep accurate records of materials and inventory
- Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times
- Collaborate with team members to meet production and shipping goals
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling environment preferred
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Good physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
