Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and move goods within the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders according to shipping specifications and customer requirements.
- Stock Organization: Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stockrooms are organized, clean, and free of hazards.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage and ensure all items meet quality standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions to management immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or material handling is preferred.
- Certification: Valid forklift certification (Class A, B, or C) is highly preferred.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and stand for extended periods. Good physical stamina is required.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to read labels, pick tickets, and maintain organized records.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including overtime and weekends as needed.
