As a Material Handler, you'll play a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy and optimizing workflow efficiency. Responsibilities
- Accurately receive, scan, and inventory incoming shipments using our proprietary WMS system
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Coordinate with remote team members via Slack for inventory updates and scheduling
- Maintain clean and organized work areas following OSHA safety standards
- Process outbound shipments with proper labeling and documentation
- Participate in quarterly inventory audits with remote supervisors
- Utilize digital tools for real-time inventory tracking and reporting
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year warehouse/material handling experience
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Proficient with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail with numerical aptitude
- Experience with remote communication tools (Zoom, Teams)
- Valid Maryland driver's license preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
