Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move materials efficiently within warehouse facility
- Inspect and maintain equipment daily to ensure safety compliance and optimal performance
- Accurately track inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) technology
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize loading/unloading processes
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and company operational standards at all times
- Train new hires on safe material handling procedures when required
- Participate in monthly safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA-certified forklift operator license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 2 years of warehouse/forklift operation experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and stand/walk for 8+ hour shifts
- Strong attention to detail with inventory management experience
- Proficiency with warehouse technology (RF scanners, WMS software)
- Flexible availability to work nights (6 PM - 6 AM) and weekends as needed
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Basic math skills for inventory reconciliation
