Job Summary
As an Order Packer, you will be responsible for accurately picking, packing, and labeling products to ensure they are ready for shipment. You will work in a fast-paced environment alongside a dedicated team, utilizing barcode scanners and warehouse management systems to meet daily targets.
Responsibilities
- Pack Items: Select, pack, and seal products securely to ensure safe delivery to customers.
- Verify Orders: Double-check order accuracy against customer receipts and packing lists.
- Labeling: Apply correct shipping labels, barcodes, and postage using handheld scanners.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory counts and reporting discrepancies.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate pallet jacks, forklifts (after certification), and conveyor belts.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep packing stations organized and clean to ensure safety standards.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and pickers to optimize workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and move throughout the warehouse.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy to prevent shipping errors.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable with a good attendance record.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills to follow instructions from supervisors.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred (not strictly required).
- Availability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, if needed.
