Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal temperature and humidity levels in refrigerated/freezer storage zones
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and material handling equipment per OSHA standards
- Inspect and document cold storage equipment functionality and safety compliance
- Load/unload trucks while maintaining FIFO inventory rotation protocols
- Conduct quality checks on perishable goods upon receipt and dispatch
- Adhere to HACCP and FDA sanitation guidelines for food safety
- Complete daily logs and inventory management reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless warehouse operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures (20°F to -10°F) for extended periods
- Basic math skills for inventory tracking and documentation
- Valid driver's license preferred; forklift certification a plus
- Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and stand/walk for 6+ hours
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Previous warehouse or cold storage experience beneficial but not required
