Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal temperature conditions in refrigerated/freezer storage units
- Operate pallet jacks and forklifts to move perishable inventory safely
- Conduct daily inventory audits using barcode scanning systems
- Adhere to strict HACCP and OSHA safety protocols
- Sanitize equipment and storage areas following FDA guidelines
- Load/unload refrigerated trucks with temperature-sensitive products
- Complete shift reports and maintain accurate documentation
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures (-20°F to 40°F)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Basic computer literacy for inventory systems
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
