Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal temperature and humidity levels in refrigerated storage areas
- Inspect and organize inventory using FIFO (First-In-First-Out) principles
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and refrigeration equipment safely
- Load/unload trucks while following strict temperature control procedures
- Document inventory movements using digital tracking systems
- Adhere to HACCP and OSHA safety standards at all times
- Perform routine sanitation and cleaning of storage facilities
- Collaborate with team members on efficient warehouse operations
Qualifications
- Previous cold storage or warehouse experience preferred
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand for extended periods
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of food safety protocols (HACCP) a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in cold environments (32-40°F)
