Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperatures in refrigerated/freezer units (0°F to 40°F)
- Inspect and organize inventory using FIFO methods in cold environments
- Operate pallet jacks and forklifts for material handling tasks
- Adhere to HACCP and OSHA safety protocols for cold storage environments
- Document inventory movements and temperature logs daily
- Collaborate with team members for efficient loading/unloading operations
- Perform routine sanitation of storage areas and equipment
Qualifications
- Previous cold storage or warehouse experience preferred
- Valid OSHA forklift certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Basic computer literacy for inventory systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Flexible availability including weekends/holidays
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
