Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain cold storage temperatures (-10°F to 40°F) using digital thermometers and HVAC systems
- Inspect, organize, and rotate inventory according to FIFO principles and expiration dates
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and refrigeration equipment following OSHA safety standards
- Sanitize storage areas, racks, and equipment using food-grade cleaning solutions
- Document inventory movements, temperature logs, and safety compliance records
- Collaborate with warehouse team to ensure efficient loading/unloading of refrigerated trucks
- Respond to temperature alarms and implement corrective actions immediately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Previous warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Basic computer literacy for inventory management systems
- Availability to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends
