Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems
- Operate pallet jacks and forklifts in -10°F to 40°F environments
- Inspect and rotate perishable goods to prevent spoilage
- Comply with HACCP and FDA cold storage regulations
- Load/unload temperature-controlled trailers using proper techniques
- Sanitize equipment and work areas according to food safety standards
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards immediately
Qualifications
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Basic forklift certification or willingness to obtain one
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Strong attention to detail in inventory tracking
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly with proper technique
- Previous warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- Flexible availability including early mornings, nights, and weekends
